I am currently working with a number of students with ADD/ADHD and have worked with quite a few students with this learning challenge in the classroom. I also limit the amount of time needed for each assignment by decreasing the total number of problems, utilizing breaks from the work, varying assignments, and minimizing distractions. Achieving Success Tutoring Services
I have been diagnosed myself since I entered college and, as someone who suffers from a chronic pain disability, I have found it difficult to maintain focus oftentimes as well. During my time tutoring in college one of my students was diagnosed with ADHD and I managed to help him get through his course without the help of medication. Furthermore, as an ADHD sufferer myself I have found that some medications can help. That being said, medication should be carefully controlled, and sometimes minimal. The biggest change has to come from within the student themselves; I know. Textbook outline form Read more
