Med School Grad w/ experience in tutoring Anatomy & Physiology

I am a recent medical school graduate from American University of Antigua COM (11/2015), and I have completed my clinical rotations in Georgia and New York Hospitals. While at AUA I worked as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Medical Scholars Program where I tutored large groups (20-30 students) in Medical Biochemistry. I also tutored small groups (2-3 students) each week in all of the Basic Science courses (Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Neurology, Anatomy, Physiology…). While preparing for USMLE Step I, I would hold tutoring sessions for 2 students who were preparing for their Comprehensive Exams. Both students passed their Comp exam, took and passed USMLE Step I, and now are preparing for USMLE Step 2 Ck. I use the same teaching method I used while preparing for my own examinations. Being a fresh graduate I understand how important exam scores are for being a competitive candidate; also, I understand how it is to be a student learning sciences/medicine, so I implement ways in my teaching to help students remember the material. My scores for USMLE Step I (240) & USMLE Step 2 Ck (251), are evidence that my methods of teaching work and will get the student the competitive score they need. Read more
