Kate is a real teacher, not simply a tutor! I have taught math for over 10 years and I can attest to Kate's mastery of not only subject matter but skill set and delivery. She is a highly skilled professional and I would recommend her to anyone serious about learning. My first lesson with Kate was open for direction, but I chose to allow her to lead. She employed a quick skills assessment to see where I needed help (with Russian) and then immediately set out helping me practice the vocabulary and grammar for my current level of education. She utilized her own tablet device with pictures, vocabulary and discussion material. She was 100% prepared. It was very obvious that she has a Masters in linguistics as well as a mastery of several languages. I was, and am still, very impressed.
John is very professional in his approach with all subjects. He made my son feel comfortable and confident as the sessions began. John was flexible with dates and times that allowed us to complete our daily routine as a family. Our son took the exam with more confidence because of the knowledge gain from John. His systematic approach provide that extra spark that was needed for my son to achieve that elusive score he had been in search of. I would highly recommend John for any level student and family. A 5 star tutor hands down!!
He was wonderful for my first lesson. Started with simple verbs in singular and plural and the how's and whys of it. Small sentences. Explained why the differences. I could not learn this on my CD's - he is very good and I enjoyed it very much. I look forward to my next lesson!
Elaine is a very good tutor! She's very patient and understanding. She makes sure I understand the concepts. Great tutor!
