Theresa is a very gifted teacher who makes the student feel confident. That means half the battle is already won.
My first tutoring session with Kavitha exceeded my expectations. She is such a wonderful and patient tutor. She knew exactly what it takes to tutor a my shy 4 year old whom will not speak to anyone not related to him. He will not even speak with his preschool teachers. She did an initial assessment with him using flashcards and books. She used her 15 years of teaching experience to really get him to say words loudly and to build trust with him. By the end of the session, he was saying a few words loudly. This is really shocking to me since he has never spoken to other teachers or strangers. I think he really bonded with her and I feel confident that he will learn to read in the next few months. This is my very first time hiring an in home tutor and I was a bit afraid to do so. In the past, I put my children in tutoring centers where it is a group setting. I feel that one on one tutoring at the home will significantly help my children be more comfortable and they will learn a lot quicker. To my surprise, it is very affordable and cheaper than tutoring centers. More importantly, the tutor focuses on only your child. Thank you Kavitha for such a wonderful tutoring experience!
Maryam was really helpful and easy to understand. She is also very easy to reach. I would definitely recommend her and I will be contacting her again for future lessons. :)
Erin helped my son prepare for the SAT. I cannot thank her enough for all of the help she provided. Each week she challenged my son with new vocabulary words and they worked on grammar as well. My son took the SAT yesterday and said he felt much more comfortable. He completed his essay within the allotted time, which he was unable to complete during his last SAT. He said he whizzed through the vocabulary and grammar section. He felt much more prepared going into this test and feels much more confident after taking it. Erin was the reason for that. Thank you so much Erin for all of your help, we will be forever grateful!
