She is fantastic. She has been working with my daughter for the better part of the school year and is very patient, engaging and knowledgeable. She is so good, we are asking her to help my son with some of his language arts homework. We are very happy with Diane!
Lorraine has been working with my 8-year-old son only a short while. She is very patient and thinks out of the box. She comes up with ways to help my son complete tasks with positive and innovative reinforcement. Lorraine reinforced work with rewards during his session which brings focus back to task at hand in a timely manner. My son draws really well, and she has taken that task and has made Nathaniel enjoy writing comics into his session. He has written a story in his DS by himself. This may seem minute, however, my son would get so worked up about it prior to meeting Loraine. The end result was everyone was stressed and it would take forever. I look forward to continuing working with her to increase his reading and writing skills.
Adnan has worked with our daughter for a few months now and has proven to be a big help to her. He has a great grasp of the advanced physics material that has been challenging her all year. She has shown good improvement in her test scores since he has been working with her, which has given her some much-needed confidence in her abilities.
My son is 7 and he is not a traditional learner. Marianne finds creative ways to reach him. She plays math, reading and spelling games with him. He enjoys the game, and that helps him retain the information he learned from playing it. Marianne is always well prepared for the lesson. She takes the time to individualize the lesson for my child. It's different each week, so he doesn't lose interest. Her teaching goes beyond the hour she spends with him. She cares about my son and has given me ideas and resources to help me work with him at home. She's a great teacher.
