Students who are hard of hearing need to be positioned correctly so they can do any necessary lipreading. The teacher or tutor needs to be sure hard of hearing students have understood verbal instruction before moving on. I cannot sign, however I've worked with both fully deaf students who were in my class with with the assistance of an assistant who could sign and with students who had hearing losses, with or without assistive devices and hearing aids. "SENIOR MASTER TUTOR" - MATH CHEM PHYSICS COMP - HS/COLLEGE
"C++" is very similar to its predecessor "C". The majority of classes and books that say they are "C++" type classes are really "C" classes because the majority of the programming skills that need to be learned are "C" based. "C++" is a special add-on and can be very difficult. I can help with the structure, testing, debugging, and running of your program(s) and of course can assist with the actual interpretation of these areas. I have taught a little of this and also tutored several students at WyzAnt on this area. Read more

Working for Success
I absolutely love working with students. I believe each student is unique. Every child learns in a different way, and I try my hardest to have them succeed in their own learning way. I plan to work with each student as an individual. Each and every student is unique in their learning styles. It is about adapting work to meet their style, to explain things in ways that will make sense. Children are our future and we need to prepare them :) I'm currently a certified special education (K-12),... Read more

Educator w/38 years of experience in K-12, testing, technology
My career started with a passionate belief that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and capitalize on their own unique strengths to become successful, contributing members of our society. My first encounter with those that had not been given this opportunity started with my organizing a swimming program at my university for individuals that had special needs. It was amazing that there was no public education, at that time, for these individuals, young and old. They learned on the st... Read more

Dear Students and Parents: What makes you passionate about learning? For those of you not in school currently, what made you passionate when you were? For some, it was P.E. For others, unfortunately, they would say lunch or recess. For a few, it might be performing arts or a sport or a particular teacher. Then there are a couple who would claim that NOTHING makes them passionate about learning. It was for this reason that I became a teacher. Don't get me wrong. I love students who love l... Read more
