Mary

Math, Science Tutor

I am presently tutoring a student with Aspergers syndrome. I have been working with this student for two tear as a WyzAnt tutor. It is very satisfying. I had to figure out the rules the student worked by, because they are important to him. I didn't try to change his behavior, unless it was unacceptable. I find it is important not to get the student upset as he can become very anxious. He has very few strategies for dealing with anxiety. The more anxious the student becomes the more withdrawn he is lightly to get and will not process the content. It can take time to set up the study-space. T Read more
