Accounting is a very easy subject to learn. There are only 5 major categories of accounts into which you place financial transactions. Once you learn them you just have to learn the vocabulary of the subject and how to think like an accountant. Once you get through the first 4 or 5 chapters the rest of Financial Accounting textbook is a dissection of the Income Statement and Balance Sheet.
