When working with the ADD/ADHD students in my class I would work with them one-on-one or in small group. I would present them with a problem and then I would set the timer for them to complete the problem. When first beginning with them they would get a great amount of time to complete one problem. As the year went on they would get shorter amounts of time. The students would also get smaller amounts of work to be done. Over the past ten years I have tutored a number of students diagnosed with ADHD, both on medication and not on medication. The diagnosis. in my opinion, is secondary to learning.
