I currently work as an Instructional Assistant for students with Autism. I understand that these students don't lack the ability to learn, but they simply learn different. When tutoring a student with autism, it is very important to be consistent and routine. I also understand that most students with autism are visual learners. Pictures and tangible objects (manipulatives) are vital tools for their learning process.
