I've been an elementary teacher for the last 19 years. I love teaching all subject areas in the elementary curriculum, with reading, writing, and math/CGI (problem solving) being my strongest areas. My favorite approach is the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model, in which I first model exactly the skill, then guide the student through the process, then give the student the opportunity to work independently.
