We originally brought Bethany on as a math tutor to help our son who has struggled with math for years. After just a few sessions, he had really bonded and connected with her better than he had with any tutor before (and we have tried many). When I asked him what the difference was, he said that she was young enough to have been taught in the same way he was supposed to learn, and could actually explain the method to him - as opposed to the adults we had used in the past and who taught him in a completely different way. I cannot speak highly enough about Bethany. My wife and I are both highly educated and consider ourselves a fairly decent judge of professional competencies and character in someone, and Bethany has exceed all of our expectations and then some. Our grade school son struggles conceptually with some of the more difficult math concepts and Bethany has been able to break it down, communicate it in such a way where he gets it, and his quiz and test scores went from C's to A's. While we don't expect miracles, we know our son is in very capable hands with Bethany. Bethany has always been very responsive and proactive in communicating, scheduling, etc. Moreover, she is a pleasure to be around, she is genuinely a nice person and you can tell she cares greatly about what she does and it shows. Bethany is very low key, but direct, which is a great combination when it comes to communication skills. Our son really likes Bethany and feels totally comfortable around her as well -- that is very important as well. If there were a way to give Bethany beyond an A+, we would!
