I have a California teaching credential in Special education for students in grades K-12 with Mild/Moderate disabilities. I also have an Autism Authorization added to my California teaching credential. I have a master's degree in Special Education. I have been a special education teacher since December 2009. I currently have one 8th grade student with Autism in my self-contained class at the charter school I teach at in New Orleans.

Aspergers

I have a California teaching credential in Special education for students in grades K-12 with Mild/Moderate disabilities. I also have an Autism Authorization added to my California teaching credential. I have worked with students on the Autism spectrum which includes students with Aspergers since it is a spectrum disorder. Aspergers actually no longer included in the DSM as a disability. I have a master's degree in Special Education. I have been a special education teacher since December 2009. I work very closely with the nurse and families to let them know of the changes of behavior with their students. I allow my students with ADD/ADHD opportunities to move around the classroom and use alternate methods of getting their work done, that works best with their personalities.

Tiffani rocks! Very patient we love her. She's not only helping my child ecxel accademically but she was able to help me navigate my parental rights and laws in reference to special education. Getting my son to read and do homework used to be a chore. I hated the person I was when trying to help him. We would sit for hours and go back and forth over the same problems and it always ended the same way with us both being frustrated and him not quite grasping the full benifit of doing his work. I knew that if he continued to work with me I was going to have a child who hated school simply based on the fact that he hated homework and didn't feel "smart" because homework sessions were more like an emotional battle then a learning experience. After my son came home and said he wanted to be home schooled because he wasn't smart, I knew I needed to make a change. Since we have been meeting with her he can't wait to sit down and get started on his reading(my main goal is to get his Lexie level up and increase his flow) . Her patience, personality and senserity makes her a great tutor. Tiffani genuinely loves what she does and you will see it in your child's academic achievement
