Most of the time my students fall into two groups: those who already know they are or can be good at math and those who don't. Either way, my aim is to build students' confidence in their math ability as well as their belief in the accessibility of different math principles. A lot of times there is something very small that students have missed and, as a detail-oriented tutor, I jump on the opportunity to tell the student the principle and how to properly use it....

I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 2009. During my time in college I was the Academic Excellence Chair for the National Society of Black Engineers. Upon graduation I taught Middle School Science at Frederick K.C. Price III for one school year. As a teacher at the school I covered every grade level in the school at some point in the year worked with all of the children at the school. I currently work with fourth through eighth grade students on a robotics team as part of the US First, First Lego League Competition.

I programmed in MATLAB for various classes during undergrad. Some of the classes that I used MATLAB in were EE102 Signals & Systems, EE103 Applied Numerical Computing and EE131A Communications Systems Engineering. I used the programming language to solve complex math questions as well as to analyze electrical signal phenomena.
