I was a staff writer for the Bay Area News Group (which includes the San Jose Mercury, Contra Costa Times and Oakland Tribune) for 19 years. My responsibilities included writing multiple articles per week and copy-editing a section of three weekly newspapers. I took pride in teaching younger journalists about the profession and proof-reading their stories. I enjoy helping individuals with my editing and writing skills.
