I have had 8 years of experience implementing systematic instruction and teaching organization in order to give students strategies to cope with inattentive tendencies, impulsiveness and the need for stimulation. Difficulty tending to a task and impulsiveness is not a choice for a person diagnosed with ADHD or ADD. I help give students the self help tools they need in order to be independently successful.

I hold an education specialist California teaching credential with an added authorization to teach students who fall on the autism spectrum, which includes Asperger. I have experience with helping students interpret nonverbal communication, such as body language and facial expressions. My favorite part of working with someone with Asperger is helping them to fit in socially by helping them to feel prepared for social events and have strategies on how to interact with peers.
