I have taught all of Cuesta's math classes from arithmetic (Math 003 at Cuesta) through pre-calculus (Math 242) for the last 25 years. I also was the Math Lab coordinator for 12 years (until the program was discontinued due to budgetary constraints) where I tutored everything from arithmetic (Math 003) through second semester calculus (Math 265B). Our son Mark has been meeting with John for Intermediate Algebra for several months. While Mark's final grade is yet to be determined, John's work with him has helped Mark to stabilize his grade and has given him confidence in the subject. John understands the math topics thoroughly and explains them clearly in a way that our son understands. John adjusts his explanations to whatever speed Mark needs to absorb the material. We set up tutoring for Mark with John via email because of the 200 mile distance between where we live and the college.
