Pro photographer & editor. PC Consultant/Tech
I have a passion for photography and love to work with people. I had the pleasure of teaching photography, digital multi-media, and PC computer use to classes of middle-school students for 9 years. I'm now enjoying the pleasure of working with the older age group; senior citizens. When you are as excited and passionate about something, you seek out those with the same interest. To be able to share what I know, to inspire and to be inspired by others is incredibly fulfilling. I am an arti...

Paul and I were a good match. We have similar abilities, and his dedication to Photoshop is much deeper than mine. Paul brought to light an important factor in what I am doing. Of course, I want to play the piano, violin, and understand Solidworks as well. (I do not have skills in any of those skills). But, unless you are A VERY quick study, the muscle memory needed to master the shortcuts to be proficient in these programs may be a time investment better spent by subletting my work instead of doing it all myself. However, I still wish to have better Photoshop skills. Our lesson went very well, and I now have a good grasp of Photoshop LAYERS. The concept of disassembling a photograph into top-down layers, and stacking them in a progressive way so as not to "shadow" or block each other, save sets, and revisit individual layers for changes to be made is much more clear now. Seeing how the layers stacked comprise the entire photo when the seeing "Eyes" are all activated, gives me a better understanding of how to manipulate the elements that I have selected. The various tools specific to my project needs were used. There are MANY more tools I will need to become more familiar and/or introduced to that will take at least several more 3 hour sessions. I expect that we will have another session after I practice these new skills to produce labels and other graphics that I need for my business projects. It is a pleasure working with Paul.

Paul is great! I am a budding professional photographer and Paul is a great general resource. I can ask him questions about photography, equipment, and photo processing software. I originally hired him to help me increase my knowledge of Lightroom, but he has done so much more. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience and he is totally open to sharing. On a more personal note, Paul is a personable, professional, responsible person. He's a delight to work with, his explanations are clear, he has a wonderful sense of humor, he is easy to reach and communicate with, and he has often shared things with me that I wasn't knowledgeable enough to ask about. He tells me that he also teaches Photoshop and offers some general computer instruction. I don't need help in these areas, but if you do, I would highly recommend Paul.

It has been a pleasure to have been working with Paul H. He has a complete grasp of the Lightroom 4 and made it so easy to learn. I am so far ahead of where I was it is hard to fathom. Thanks to Paul I can move around Lightroom with ease and has steered me to new areas that I didn't know Lightroom had. Again, thanks Paul, you have been a fabulous instructor and made me extremely comfortable with Lightroom.

Wonderful teacher. Great tutor! Very knowledgeable and patient. He taught me more in an hour and a half lesson than other tutors teach in a week.

Paul is teaching me how to manage my photos in Lightroom, touching the basics of Photoshop, and also giving great pointers about photographing what I want to shoot. He is always available in some fashion, email, phone or text. That is very helpful to me when I have a quick question. He also follows up with any issues we might have with the last session. All and I feel that my photos are getting more and more "professional"!

We set up Lightroom cc and loaded some pictures. Worked a little with program. Was able to repeat it on my own. Did not feel rushed. Looking forward to more.
