Experienced Tutor In Psychology/Elementary Math/ADD-ADHD

I hold an undergraduate degree in psychology and an advanced degree in experimental psychology. I have been teaching for approximately ten years and I love teaching equally as much as I love psychology. I have tutored students one-on-one, as well as to groups of students who wished to conduct research in the psycho- physiological context at university level. One of the compliments that I have received most often from students is that I am able to explain concepts in easy and understandab...

ADD/ADHD

During my tenure as a tutor, five children and adults have been under my tutelage for extended periods of time. I have studied ADD/ADHD as an undergraduate and as a graduate student. This disorder has three subtypes; namely, predominantly hyperactive-impulsive with six or more symptoms in the hyperactivity-impulsivity category, predominantly inattentive with six or more symptoms in the inattention category, and combined hyperactive-impulsive and inattentive with six or more symptoms from each of the two categories aforementioned. Some children with this disorder also have comorbid conditions, such as learning disability, conduct disorder, bipolar disorder, and anxiety and depression.

Aspergers

I have an undergraduate and a graduate degree in psychology and I have formally studied Asperger disorder. Asperger disorder is an autism spectrum disorder. Individuals with this disorder have social impairment, communication difficulties, and restrictive, repetitive, and stereotyped patterns of behavior. I have taught math and English to several children with this disorder.
