Randy impressed right from the start with his quick response to our tutoring request and proved to be super reliable - quick to work out and confirm dates and times and very punctual. He went right to work with the student and did an admirable job getting the student focused and organized in her very last minute prep for the the SAT and ACT respectively, managing in only two double sessions to work through all of the test materials and boosting his student's confidence 100%. Student was very impressed with some of the techniques Randy had available for her to speed up her process of working through the tests, helping her to focus on the essentials. Still waiting for the SAT / ACT results, but very confident that whatever they are they wouldn't have happened without Randy's very efficient and knowledgeable help.

We hired Randy to prepare our high school junior to retake the SAT. Armed with good first scores, we wanted help getting the scores even higher. In only 5 sessions, Randy helped us reach and exceed our SAT score goals (from 2080 to 2310). I was impressed with Randy's ability to quickly assess my student's strengths and focus in on the areas of improvement; he then structured the rest of the lessons to make full use of every minute in a friendly and encouraging way. After the SAT we added 3 lessons to prepare for the SAT II Math subject exam (scores improved from 680 to 750 ). Randy's calming manner and the test taking skills he taught also translated into lowered anxiety on the AP exams (5s on all three exams including Calculus BC, Physics I, and US History). I highly recommend Randy as a tutor. He is professional, responsive and a nice calming presence in what could be a very stressful pre-college process.
