Sarah graduated with honors from Bryn Mawr College. She double-majored in English and History of Art, and completed completed graduate work at the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah received her teaching credential from Loyola Marymount University, and she is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Education at the University of San Francisco.
