As part of my Special Education post-graduate work and teaching resource, I have worked with many students with an ADHD diagnosis. My techniques are to use alternate forms of instruction that utilize hands on learning. A student with attention deficit is paying attention to multiple stimuli, Staring at a book or page is not addressing the need for this stimuli.

My tutoring experience has given me the opportunity to assist two students with an Asperger's diagnosis. Both of these student's were attending local colleges. The areas that they required the most help were in organization and meeting deadlines.

I have an Educationalist Specialist Credential. I have attended training in SCERTS an behavior analysis technique out of Cornell University. The State of Utah Department of Education Conference on current Autism and Pervasive Disorders. I have taught students in formal special education classrooms, as well as one to one tutoring. I have written IEPs and Behavior Plans that allowed for behavioral and educational tracking and growth.
