I have been providing career development guidance for many years and in a variety of ways. I hold workshops related to career development including one on salary negotiations. I also do this for other educational organizations, but it's for their own students and not publicly publicized. I have also managed departments and have been responsible for hiring, promoting, and otherwise managing my employees. I have also guided my staff on determining what they want to do with their careers and ensuring that they received the appropriate training. One of the employees who reported to me at my recent company wrote a LinkedIn recommendation about me. And finally, I have provided career development advice to professional women regarding jobs as well as how to communicate with and manage current or potential employers. So much so that people have suggested that I become an executive coach; I have been looking into the certification of that.
