My daughter is a 7th grader in one of the best middle/high schools in California. She's pretty smart but she feels intimidated with the students in that school because she transferred in the middle of the school year. I hired Nick to tutor her on Algebra 1 after a disappointing 1st exam. My daughter likes Nick and said that he is patient with her and she understands his explanations. Her score on the second and third exams were both a huge increase from the first. Not bad at all but it has only been 4 sessions with Nick (I think) so there's a lot of room for improvement. I hope to give ongoing feedback about Nick as they progress through the school year.

My son had his 2nd tutoring session and I am very happy. He is really starting to understand math and actually likes his sessions with Nick. Knowing my son, that is saying a lot! My son had his first tutoring session with Nick M. yesterday, March 22, 2014 and I think we can call it a success!! My son gave Nick a great review so I KNOW that he is good. Nick actually came to my house and was turned around by the gate security. Did Nick give up and write us off, NO WAY! Nick came back the following week and had a great math session with my 5th grade son. Nick was prompt and totally flexible. My son even said that he actually learned how to divide fractions in this session, which he didn't understand from school. So we have our next appointment next week and will focus more on the dreaded word problems. I cant wait because my son is getting the help that he needs from a good tutor.

My 11 year old needed general support with all of his subjects, in particular math, writing, developing better study habits and preparing for tests. We've had two lessons with Nick, and already I see my son's confidence building. Nick explains things in a way my son understands, and my son has embraced his support.
