ADD/ADHD

I worked at a tutoring facility for 10 years that worked extensively with students who were diagnosed with ADD and ADHD. As a credentialed teacher, I have been working with students with ADD and ADHD individually and in large and small group settings. As a special education teacher, I worked in a program that catered to a wide range of disabilities that included ADD and ADHD. When I work with students who are diagnosed with ADD and ADHD, I focus on strategies that can regulate sensory needs as well as developing focus and attention to the details that they need to attend in a classroom setting.

Aspergers

I am currently employed at a school that specializes in Autism Spectrum Disorders. My previous experience was working closely with a family whose child was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. I was working as a governess and family consultant. Towards the end of my position he was re-diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I tutored him in all subjects and was a liaison between the family and his IEP team. I provided feedback on effective parenting techniques following a behavioralist approach. I worked with him exclusively from five years to ten years old.

Patricia is a very knowledgeable and friendly resource for helping to deepen your child's education and also assist in steering parents in the right direction as far as your child's needs. My daughter loved working with her and I got to see what a true mentor looks like every week when they met. Patricia is thorough in her work with my daughter and when the session is over, my daughter is always cheerful and energized to do her homework assignments. We are fans. Thanks for all your good work Patti!
