I will inquire to learn what form of Austism needs to addressed. We will gear the lesson towards to help the student focus and feel good about themselves. We will use visual and verbal commands and learning aids. We will also use sometimes physical aids. (Standing up and moving to learn facts in math and reading etc.)

I will inquire to find out what is the students interests and pull that into what we are learning about as analogies to getting our work understood. We will work toward taking breaks when they are earned after finishing a task. I will speak up to my student and show interest in his areas that interest him.

I can work with students that have the needs of a student with ADD/ADHD- We will work together to rechannel any extra energy into our task at hand. We will take breaks when needed to keep the student focused and will work on keeping the mind alert. I will use sounds to refocus the student- for example gently tapping on the desk/table to refocus the eyes. I will us a gentle touch on the wrist to direct student too. I have a lot of experiene with student with ADD /ADHD.

Now, after several weeks working with Anastasia (since late Oct), I couldn't be more pleased. She has a great rapport with my son and it seems like he really tries hard to please her.
