Effective Elementary and Special Needs Tutor
I've taught and tutored preschool and elementary-aged children for 8 years, and recently started tutoring middle schoolers. I specialize in Math and English, but I also tutor other Elementary subjects. I give a weekly summary assessment to track and plan better lessons or activities for the students. ADD/ADHD
I've taught an inclusion class for 6 years. This is a class of mainstream children with ages from 5-7 years old, and special needs children from 5 - 11. I have children with Autism, Asperger, Dyslexia, ADHD, and some with speech delay. I finished a course on Special Needs Management and Child Psychology. I've worked with OT, ST and other Special Ed teachers in designing IEPs for every child. I've also regularly tutored a child with Aspeger for 3 yeras, a girl with Dyslexia for a year, and a boy with down syndrome for also a year.

I have children with Asperger in my class, and most of them are highly intelligent, but they are usually fixated on one thing. I've learned how to use such fixation in teaching children with Aspergers.
