Rather, he absolutely loves it, grasps it easily, and is working beyond his advanced 6th grade class. Richard has proven to be an excellent math tutor. He just completed tutoring our oldest son in a college level statistics course - and brought him from lacking confidence and almost failing to very confident and getting a high "B" as his final grade. I have been a student of Richard for a few years now, and he had always been an incredible source of help. He has always been kind and understanding, and one of the things I admire most about him is he always has a smile to share with his students. His attitude is especially encouraging to us student who are already struggling in one way or another and could really use a dose of joy in our day. It's an attitude I've been working on acquiring as well, thanks to his influence. Though for a brooding and moody teenager, it's been a little difficult. In his teachings though, he excels at showing students how to make math easier by explaining it thoroughly from understanding why you're doing what you're doing, to the actual process of working through a problem. He is remarkably patient and understanding for his students that are struggling in their subjects and will go completely out of his way to set up an appointment to help a student when they are struggling immensely.
