I have a B.A. in Communications and M.A. in Counseling from accredited U.S. universities. I served as an after-school homework club tutor giving homework help to elementary school students, especially in the subjects of math and English. I have worked as a teacher/professor with community college students and high school students, teaching them college level courses. I also have taught at an adult school and co-taught a high school class for Chinese cultural studies. I have experiences teaching ESL to students who do not speak any English. I have a fairly specific reason to learn Chinese. I have been joining a group of Chinese people in the park every morning to practice Tai Chi. Many of them have quite a good knowledge of the English language, but several of them do not. Tiffany has customized my lessons to fast track my ability to speak with my new friends! Tiffany is a wonderful addition to the kids' lives. It's very rewarding to hear the kids talking in Mandarin for an hour each week. I didn't want them to lose their ability to speak once we moved back to the states. But I didn't want them to dread the tutoring. They really like Tiffany and she is very professional. Tiffany helped my son with his pronunciation. They went over his AP Chinese lesson. He had already finished it and she reviewed it with him. In order for his Mandarin to be more fluid, he needs more practice and one and one help than he can get in class.
