I spent ten year working in theatre in England, Scotland, South Africa and America. I have worked back stage as a stage manager, doing lighting and sound, props, and prompting. I have also directed 5 or 6 plays in successful runs. I have also written 2 of my own full length plays, one of which was performed at the Edinburgh Fringe, and the other in London. I also collaborated in writing and producing a play with the Drama Society at my high school where I taught in South Africa. I directed of my short plays at the Marin Fringe Theater Festival in 2009.

William helped my son develop some initial themes for a Shakespeare paper, and then patiently went through the entire play looking for examples and coaching him through the analysis.
