ADD/ADHD
I have teaching experience, working with people who have ADD or ADHD for over 15 years in standard classes, and have taken Special Ed. classes while working toward that credential. Students are best supported with clear and concise organizational forms and formulas, guidelines, and consistent support. I am a creative and up-beat person who is understanding of what their needs are, organized with good communication skills, and can also be assertive when appropriate. I incorporate all of these attributes, as well as having the training and experience to successfully work with your child.

Pnina is always well organized, comes prepared to start work without any time wasting, and guides my son into focusing on the most important topics to help him. Her experience as a teacher means she knows how to make progress quickly. My son has improved markedly from Pnina's tutoring. Well worth it. Update 3-11-13: My son took the SAT last weekend and feels he did very well. He was able to answer all questions in all sections. In particular, he is confident he wrote a great essay response, with good structure, supporting examples, and conclusion. This is thanks to Pnina's tutoring as he was weak in the written section of the PSAT last Fall. Pnina's tutoring really paid off for him.

We've been working with Pnina since the beginning of the school year and we have seen incredible improvement in our daughter's grades and overall attitude towards school. We have only had about 8 lessons for my 4 yr old so far, but I've been generally pleased with the level of progress I have seen this far. My daughter has been working with Pnina for about two months now and already I hear improvement in her reading ability, articulation, pronunciation and has increased her ability to hear and write sounds. My daughter also gets speech therapy from school in a group setting but it's the one on one with Pnina where my wife and I have notice the largest growth in just a short period of time. We do get homework after every session but my daughter is enthusiastic to complete it to show her progress to Pnina. She still has a way to go but I'm confident with Pnina's help my daughter will get the reading confidence she deserves. One last thing is Pnina is extremely patient with my daughter who suffers from sensory processing disorder and is easily distracted.

I sought Pnina’s tutoring services in the Fall of 2013 because my daughter, who recently turned 9, was struggling academically. She was spending an excessive amount of time on homework and was too dependent on my help to complete her work. As a result of her struggles, I noticed a decline in her self-esteem and confidence, and she began to develop a defeatist attitude towards learning. My daughter processes information much slower than most children and requires multiple/creative ways of explaining material to her.
