I have been a Resource Specialist at a high school for 28 years. I work with students who have learning challenges, teaching all subjects, teaching study skills and teaching algebra and CHSEE math classes. I use a variety of strategies to help students understand concepts. I have experience in diagnosing areas of weakness and can break down concepts so that students can understand all the parts of the whole. I have completed a required course on working with autistic children. I now have a certificate for working with autistic/asperger children. That was part of my multiple subject and specialist credential. I also have an English learner credential- CLAD.

I have worked with learning disabled students with ADD and ADHD for 35 years. I am a resource specialist with an LH credential, also have a resource certificate, a multiple subject credential, and a certificate to teach asperger students. I have been chair person of my Special Ed department, I have been coordinator of Title 1 for English and math after school tutoring programs. These are my qualifications.
