Claudia

Traveling Teacher

With many years of experience in teaching and tutoring K-12 students, I have learned ways to make learning an adventure that draws on the strengths of each student. Our first session will include talking about educational goals, and ways to create an exciting road map to achieve the desired results. My "official" degrees include a California Multiple-Subject Teaching Credential, two Masters in Education, one in Child Development and the other in Teaching English as a Second Language. I have...

She s a great teacher. My daughter is in 8th grade and we noticed her confidence level improved greatly when she started working with her and also her grade in English.

I can't say enough positive things about Claudia. I feel so lucky to have her tutoring our son. Our son is 8 years old, in second grade, and struggling in the areas of reading and writing. Claudia immediately focused on the areas where our son needs to improve and has creative ways of teaching that make it fun for him (I hear them laughing and he always has a smile on his face). Claudia always comes prepared with a lesson and uses the time she has with our son very effectively. Claudia also sincerely cares about the progress of our child, and has been a valuable friend in our corner. We all look forward to her visits! Thanks Claudia for being awesome!

Claudia has been working with my son for the last 3 months. She has been great to work with, is very prompt in replying and is easy to get in touch with. My son has improved his writing skills which is the focus of the tutoring. He likes Claudia and she always seems to make the learning fun for him.

Claudia is a wonderful educator. It takes passion and commitment to coach toddlers one-on-one. My son has some strengths but also has (or used to have) some struggles: Speaking English, reading, motor skills and social shyness. Slowly Ms. Claudia has helped him gain confidence and we see an amazing difference— we are not there 100% yet but he has taken many positive steps. He just loves her and is very happy whenever she visits us and sad when she leaves. Learning is not rigorous-- it's fun and easy; they both have great time and sometimes we can hear my son giving her silly answers but she has the patience to gently guide him in the right direction. She is prompt and punctual and will not spend time in casual conversations with the parents— we respect the fact that she is there for our son and stay out of their way as much as possible and that’s what has helped in maintaining focus. Due to a family emergency, she was gone for 6-8 weeks in the summer but when she returned my son bonded again and she was able to pick up right where she left. We are very pleased with Ms. Claudia and look forward to her visits.
