autism

I have many years experience at two school districts and a private company working one to one with students on the Autism spectrum. This has been a total of 12 years. Autism spectrum is called a spectrum for a reason. I have a student that I have tutored for 11 years that falls in between Asperger's and High functioning Autism. It helps him to have goals, benchmark steps, and rewards.

ADD/ADHD

I have worked with students in various classrooms that have been ADD and ADHA. Also as part of my credential, I studied ADHD at the University of California, Irvine Child Development School. Structure, incentive and rewards are good ways to achieve results from a student with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.

Aspergers

Asperger's is on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This spectrum is called a spectrum for a reason. People with Asperger's typically have an high interest in one subject matter. I have a student that I have tutored for 11 years that falls in between Asperger's and High functioning Autism. It helps him to have goals, benchmark steps, and rewards.
