I have been a middle school and elementary school teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District for 33 years. I retired 6 years ago. I taught math and science to 6th-grade honors students. I was Teacher of the Year with the Fulfillment Fund in 2000, received the California Association for the Gifted (CAG) Distinguished Service Award for Los Angeles County in 2004, am in the Who's Who of America's Teachers for 2004 and 2005 and am also on the Honor Roll of Outstanding American Teachers...
