I have 18 years experience teaching high school Spanish and have lived and worked in Spain. I am a UC Berkeley graduate with a minor in Italian. My passion is the study of foreign languages. Joan is an extremely skilled and gifted tutor. Her ability to explain and simplify the curriculum is invaluable! During my daughter's first lesson she not only explained everything in depth but also checked to make sure my daughter was comprehending the material as they proceeded with the tutoring session. Before we left, Joan gave my daughter material that would be useful and also gave her suggestions and advice on dealing with the trouble my daughter was having.
