My son needed help in Geometry. He loves football and to stay with the team he had to pass his test. We needed a tutor and needed it now. I hired a tutor and I am sure she was good but it was not the right match for my son. She made it sound like there was no hope for my son and to turn him around it was going to take a long long time. After going back and forth with my son I convinced him to give another tutor a shot and if it did not work then we will come up with another plan. Evan really saved the day for me. I was very nervous to have to retake my Cbest Math test. Apparently I had learned my elementary math incorrectly and have been dependent upon a calculator. I had really bad experiences in math and developed a mental block. I has failed my first Cbest math and felt so lost due to all of my misteachings. In a short amount of time Evan retaught me everything from the beginning. I needed a 41 to pass and I scored a 61!!! I couldn't believe it. We were looking for a tutor for our son in math over the summer. He had fallen behind in 6th grade math and was tasked with finishing a monster packet in order to ensure that he could go directly into 7th grade math in the fall. Evan was great from the start. He broke things down, used props and visuals to help explain concepts and was extremely patient. He even re-explained something to me that I had forgotten, so that I could go over the packet and make sure my son was doing it correctly. He was able to finish the packet by the deadline and I am confident that he is prepared for the coming school year.
