I have a B.S. in chemistry from UC Irvine, after which I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for a few years. I then decided that teaching would be a more fulfilling career, so I went back to school for an M.S. in physics. I just finished my degree, and I was also a TA for lab classes during my time as a graduate student. I got very good evaluations from my students, and I put in extra time to help them with their regular course assignments (even though that wasn't required). I also got ...

astronomy

physical science
geology
probability
PSAT

Eren goes out of his way to help his student understand concepts in Math and Science. He is affordable compared to other tutors on this site and is also very available. I would recommend Eren to anyone seeking tutoring in Math and Chemistry.

Really great tutor! I only met with Eren once for a "crash course" chemistry intensive. I called him at 6:40 pm on Sunday evening and he showed up where I was studying in 20 minutes! He was not only available at the drop of a hat, he stayed with me until late hours until I felt comfortable with the material. Thanks to Eren, I passed general chemistry (CHEM 111A/111B) at Long Beach State! The final exam was a national standardized ACS exam, and was very very challenging. Without the crucial 5 hours I spent with Eren, I do not believe I would have passed, however I got a score 12% HIGHER than the class average. He was energetic, exciting, and funny. Gave me high fives & would get excited with me when I would get a question right - probably one of the only times I ever smiled while studying chemistry. He KNOWS chemistry, and rarely would have to refer to the book to refresh his understanding. He would even formulate new, more challenging questions with similar principles to test our knowledge. (One question he thought of was even on my test!!) All around, A+ tutor. I strongly recommend.

My daughter is having a problem with chemistry comprehension and halfway through the year things have just gotten worse. Eren came and asked questions that helped specify where the problem areas were and then continued on to help her understand her current chapters concepts. He then asked her to apply the new knowledge with some improvised questions and she did great! She went from completly lost too much more confident in just a couple of hours. Very polite and knowledgable, Eren is a great pick for a tutor.

I am an ordained chaplain holding clearances from the Bureau of Prisons and the United States Justice Department. This review is not about me, but I mentioned these things to encourage you to believe that I do not come to an opinion about some one with little thought. I found Eren to be personable and professional. He is a man of his word, reliable, punctual and available on short notice. I needed a tutor for college algebra. Eren was able to step in and help me with my needs on short notice. He shows knowledge and understanding about the subject that I brought to him. If your needs are in the area of mathematics, look no further, Eren is your man. Give him a chance to show his expertise in this area, you won't be disappointed.
