I was born in the Soviet Union. By the time I started first grade I had to speak two languages. By the time I finished high school I spoke three. I moved to the States and finished my undergraduate and graduate degrees. I was a teaching assistant in grad school for two years where I helped professors teach editing and cinematography classes.
