Chemistry Math and Physics demystified. It's not rocket science!

Currently I am a teacher of Chemistry and Physics at a CA High School. Previously I have been an educational professional for 40 years, starting as a teacher of Math and Physics in High school to AP/1st year undergraduate level and I hold teaching credentials in both California and the UK. Later I taught Chemistry (the subject of my degree) to the same standard. I have many former students who have studied at the top UK Universities; Oxford, Cambridge, Bristol, Durham, Imperial London and so ...

We had a mix-up and Ken was nice enough to come back to our meeting place and help. Really great teacher, easy to understand.

After just one tutoring session with Ken,, my daughter felt more comfortable in AP Physics! She is actually looking forward to her next test!

Ken helped 5 of my high school softball players in Algebra 2, Geometry and Chemistry. They all improved TREMENDOUSLY with his help. He is thorough, patient and uses different styles of teaching depending on the abilities of each girl. All 5 had only great things to say about him and the results were simply AMAZING. One girl went from a low F in Algebra 2 to a B in a short period of time! When half the class was failing the tests my girls were all getting the best grades in the class because of Ken. He will help your child improve very quickly. I hope I have the chance to have Ken tutor more of my girls. I couldn't be happier with the results.

Ken tutors two of my boys in math and science. He is warm and engaging and, as my younger son explained, teaches in a way that the boys find easy to understand. One of my sons was resistant to tutoring. It took Ken one session to draw him in and now he looks forward to their weekly sessions. Also, their grades have begun to improve as well as their confidence. Thanks Ken!

Ken has been great working with my daughter. Lots of patience, knowledge and methods to help my daughter "get it."

Ken is an excellent tutor for our 15 year old daughter (who is intelligent, but does not like school). Motivation is an issue, as well as confidence, and aside from helping her understand the material, Ken's approach is just right. He helps her realize that in fact she is smart, and understands the material, when with the right guidance, she spends a little more time with it. We see excellent progress in only 3 sessions. Our daughter now has the support she needs, which is critical at a time when she feels the need to assert her independence with us as parents.

I am happy to say that my son's grades have improved greatly. It seems that Ken speaks the right language when it comes to Algebra II.

We HIGHLY recommend Ken (although I am hesitant to do so, because we want him all to ourselves)! He has helped us power through a difficult situation where my son's teacher went on leave the second week of school and never returned. My son is being taught Honors Chemistry 9 by subs! Ken is a phenomenal teacher who has helped my son immensely. He has a wonderful manner that is respectful, non-judgmental, understanding and ever-patient. He knows exactly what the student needs to know. He is prompt, efficient, and is wonderful at detecting and conveying exactly what the student's strengths and weaknesses are. We have seen such an improvement in my son's grades and thus enjoy the relief from stress and now are confident that Ken can help us through any tough section.

Physics, especially in the college level, can be a very difficult and overwhelming subject. A few weeks into the semester I realized that "kind of getting it" was not going to cut it. Ken was the first tutor that replied to my e-mail and I'm glad he was. To all of you who are a little skeptical, Ken really knows his stuff. Ken is nice, patient, helpful, and the passion he has for physics will surely rub off on you. He helped me go from an F on my first quiz to a B on my first test, A on my second quiz, and an A on my second test. Ken is a great tutor, and assuming you put in the time and effort he will have you seeing the results you want.

Ken is a wonderful tutor when it comes to clearing up some of the more confusing material in the second half of organic chemistry. He always comes very well prepared with internet handouts and info which is extra helpful, and makes sure he is keep along with the class itself. Very patient, prompt, and easy to reach. Ken does a great job of being available when you need him to be and will give you just the confidence boost you need when it comes to organic chemistry! Highly recommend!
