Kevin T was born and raised in the Detroit metropolitan area. As a child he loved comics and knew he wanted to be an artist. When Kevin attended college there were not degree programs in sequential art so he studied fine arts and illustration. He earned his BFA from the Center for Creative Studies (AKA College for Creative Studies) in Detroit, Michigan.
