Succeeding academically throughout high school led me to think that I should pursue a career in law, but after attaining Bachelors in Political Science from UC Berkeley, a Masters in Special Education from Loyola Marymount, and reading a few spectacular books, I decided to return to school in pursuit of a childhood passion. I worked with various students that were diagnosed with ADD/ADHD for four years as a Special Education teacher. In that time, I learned various strategies to help students with this diagnosis access the general education curriculum. Additionally, my Master's in Special Education from Loyola Marymount prepared me to use the Universal Design for Learning to ensure my teaching strategies could be accessed by students with different learning styles.
