I have a degree in Special Education (K-12) and Elementary Education. I have a strong background in teaching reading, writing, and math. I have used a variety of programs in order to teach these subjects. I have taught K-6 special education (resource), 5th grade, and 1st grade. I have taught K-6 special education with to students with a variety of disabilities for 4 years. I work with students that range in disabilities from learning disabilities, ADHD, cognitive impairments, as well as other disability categories. I teach all academic subjects as well as social skills. I am familiar with and use ABA therapy and discrete trial trainings when teaching.
