Geometry challenges students for two reasons: it asks them to visualize figures and it asks them to write proofs. For students who are not visualizers or who are more creative and less logical, proofs can be exhausting and even terrifying. I can help your student become more comfortable with geometry. I'll do this by helping him/her understand the connections between figures and numbers and helping him/her learn how to prove simple propositions. When I decided to undertake the GRE exam, I knew that doing practice problems on my own was not going to prepare me for everything the test could throw at me. Truth is, I always believed that I was poor at math and better at English. During my first session with Marc, he debunked my theory. Marc is a very good and very patient tutor. For my intermediate algebra class he has been very helpful at reviewing the basics in a non-judgmental and patient way.
