Mike is an excellent tutor. He is so well-educated that he can tutor almost any subject. He teaches my son Spanish, but has sometimes helped with other subjects as we have needed. He patiently teaches my son study skills along the way, which have proven to be very valuable. He is exceptionally reliable and responsible, always on time and flexible when scheduling. We couldn't be happier with his work with our son.

Michael is good in follow through with parent's expectation and objective for the session. He would double check with the parent if the student's request was additional to or different from the parent's. He would want to get approval from the parent before moving on. That is a very critical skill. He is very courteous, prompt, and serious about his work with the students and I like his attitude. Our boys like him a lot. They are always glad that he is here to help them. He is very knowledgeable and comfortable on the subjects that he teaches. He is very responsible and returns emails and phone calls promptly. We are glad to have him as the tutor for our boys Great teacher.

We are extremely impressed with Michael. He has gone beyond what we expected. He contacted the children's teachers and has really made a huge effort to get to know our kids, figure out what motivates them, and then has created custom lessons that our kids look forward to and have fun at. For example, our 8 year old ADHD child has has a hard time focusing and staying still and has difficulty in reading. By getting to know our child, Michael found out that he really likes music. Michael has brought musical lyrics to songs our child likes and is having him sing and read those. And then, he has him memorize and interpret the songs for comprehension. Michael is so patient- it is beautiful to see. Our other 6 year old child, who is really athletic, also has difficulty reading and spelling. Michael has created a treasure hunt like game around our apartment for her to find words he has said out loud and then also for her to read out out loud words that she has found. He makes learning fun and the kids are improving! Also, Michael emails us with his ideas and asks us questions during the week, and we feel confident in his dedication. He also travels relatively far to come to us. We are grateful- he is truly a gift!

Michael is a great tutor. He works with our 7th grade son on English and Math (it is unusual and helpful to have one teacher who can do both) on a regular basis. He seems very kind and attuned to our child and has been able to motivate him effectively. He is clearly very smart and a good communicator and has figured out the best way to get through to our son, particularly with complicated math/algebra and with creative writing assignments. He is timely and easy to work with. I would recommend him with no hesitation.
