Review by my son: Rayhon has helped me incredibly in Calculus. I wasn't doing too well earlier this year, but after I started working with Rayhon, my grade has gone up and my understanding of Calculus has greatly expanded. He shows you how to do the work so that you understand it and then teaches a faster method that is easier than what you might learn in class. Rayhon is a very patient tutor; I asked for his services for an accelerated calc-based Physics summer course that seemed to come so fast and leave me overwhelmed and frustrated. Rayhon is very flexible with his time; if he knows you are on a time crunch (if you have an exam in two days and have your head under water) he will reorganize his schedule and move appointments around in a way that is convenient and accommodating for everyone. He gives priority to struggling students who need his time the most. Although he was a very knowledgeable physics tutor, the most important thing Rayhon taught me was to have confidence in my instincts and my answers. My biggest issue as a physics student was that I was having a hard time doing the problems quickly and consequently I was not finishing exams in the allowed period. When I worked with Rayhon, he would not allow me to say "I don't know, isn't the answer this?" or "I think you do it this way"- he forced me to approach every question with confidence in myself and my answers. By getting out of the habit of second-guessing myself, I was able to do exams much quicker and now I finish exams with time to spare. This has had an astounding affect on my exam success. He teaches the approach, and instead of stressing the answer itself, he stresses the principals behind that answer. Eventually, after working with Rayhon, you have not learned simply how to solve specific problems, but you have mastered a vast array of skills and fundamentals which can then be applied to anything asked of you. If you are looking for a tutor to do your homework for you or answer point-blank specific questions, that is not really Rayhon's style. He will go through everything from the beginning and make sure your foundation is solid, and from there you will find that doing homework becomes easy, and those specific questions answer themselves. If you come prepared and ready to learn, Rayhon will put in 200% until you are confident and comfortable. He is willing to work with you all day if that is what it takes. There are few tutors who are as patient and dedicated.
