When my son finished his recent lesson with Dave, he seemed very positive. He told me to make sure I set up our next appointment right away. He was excited about a new shortcut he learned from Dave to help with his homework. I've never seen my son this excited about a tutor before. I am so happy!!

Dave is a wonderful tutor for my daughter. He shows thorough knowledge of the material, demonstrates lots of patience, and prepares her for tests and quizzes. I would highly recommend Dave.

We have only seen Dave a couple time, but he has very quickly realized my daughters fundamental knowledge gaps and is working with her, in a positive way, to correct them. I really like the way he wants to make sure that my daughter is engaged and feels ownership of her progress.

Dave knows his stuff and is patient about getting it across to the student. Easy to work with. We strongly recommend!

My sophomore has an AP Calculus A/B teacher who runs the class like a college seminar - wholly inappropriate for high school students who are well capable of handling the material but still require actually being taught. In just a couple of sessions, Dave has been able to help her understand the concepts and why she is doing what she is doing, rather than just memorizing steps and formulas. She is becoming more confident, seeing that she is able to complete problems at an "AP Test pace" (< 2 minutes per question), and is sure we will be seeing improving assessment results soon. Dave's philosophy that the student has to take ownership of their education and buy in to the tutoring is right on the money. From a practical point of view, Dave responded promptly to our initial inquiry, has been generous with his time getting us comfortable with his background and why he felt he could help in our situation, and has been punctual for scheduled lessons.

Dave is very patient and detail oriented. He answers questions completely and is very concerned that my son understand each problem. He is extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and prompt. I would highly recommend him.

Dave is a professional who possesses a knack for finding, quite quickly, where the student's needs lie. He gets right to work but also is friendly and kind therefore immediately placing our son at ease.
Jared S. from Wilmington, DE
Dave was great with showing my son some easy and basic concepts so my son could better understand the lessons being taught at school. Dave is a great communicator and made it enjoyable for my son to sit and learn nothing but Algebra II for an hour. Highly recommended.
Jacqueline S. from Newark, DE
Dave has been absolutely great with my daughter. He is very patient and explains mathematical concepts that are understandable for her. He is a great Math tutor and well worth the price.
Tammy S. from Wilmington, DE
Dave S. is a very patient teacher. He listens and learns the student's thought process, bridging the gap so often encountered by student/teacher communication. I thought learning Algebra was beyond my ability, but Dave managed to explain and show me that I could do it, and do it well. He is very prompt and comes prepared with the needed material. Dave S. is a professional that goes the extra mile. I highly recommend Dave S. as a tutor.

We hired Dave to help him get my son through a really tough online trigonometry class. The truth is we were despairing of getting it done by the deadline. My son said that Dave has a gift of breaking everything down for him. He said his book only gave formulas, but Dave was able to give examples for everything. Honestly, I was going to have Dave for just one session and then try someone a little less expensive, but I think it was such a worthwhile investment. He was able to cover so much so quickly, and my son understood everything! I highly recommend him--as does my son.

Dave was patient while helping my daughter get a head start with calculus. After just one session, my daughter was able to gain understanding of concepts she had begun to struggle with in the first few weeks of school and prepare her for her first exam.

Dave is a wonderful tutor for my daughter. He shows thorough knowledge of the material, demonstrates lots of patience, and prepares her for tests and quizzes. I would highly recommend Dave.
Aja S. from Wilmington, DE
Dave really takes time to drill into a student's misconceptions so that they can have a solid foundation for success in mathematics.
