ADD/ADHD
I have worked 35 years in the field of Special Education for the Christina School District in the state of Delaware. Most of the students I worked with were identified as Learning Disabled and most of the boys that were identified had ADD/ADHD. Over the years I had experiences working with students on medication for ADDHD and many students did not take medication. Presently, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education (Special Education) and a Master of Arts in Education and Instruction, I am looking forward in working with students on a one to one relationship.

Renee is off to a strong start with my 1st grade twins. She takes her job as an educator seriously and I can tell she is passionate about helping children learn. Early on, Renee established an understanding with my children about what she expected from them. She is direct, yet engaging and very nurturing. Renee plays fun games to help the kids learn math and language arts concepts. She keeps the kids moving around and has them constantly writing on the board throughout the lessons so they don't get bored or feel like they're being lectured. I can clearly see her experience in working with hyperactive/attention-challenged children as she has done a good job of keeping my energetic son on task. At the same time, she is helping my daughter build her confidence in what she knows. For both children, Renee displays patience and support in areas where they struggle. But she also looks for ways to challenge them in areas where she knows they can handle it. So far, so good!
