We signed up with Sandra a couple of weeks ago after reading great reviews about her on WyzAnt. Our son, who is a Junior this year 2013-14 school year, needs help to improve his upcoming PSAT and SAT exams. Based on the last 3 lessons our son has attended to date, things are looking great! Sandra started by providing a diagnosis of our son's prior PSAT and SAT attempts and mapped out a strategy to increase his scores. Analyzing prior test results is a skill and method that only great tutors embark on. Most tutors generally start by giving a diagnostic test to determine where a student stands. Sandra uses prior results to benchmark where her student is, which is a great methodology to get a student on the right path quickly. Sandra also recommended that we buy the CollegeBoard SAT book as the questions closely match what actually comes on the real SAT tests. I thought this is a good recommendation as I later found out from most online reviews that the SAT Collegeboard exam prep book Sandra recommended, was in fact the best prep book on the market. It comes with 10 Practice tests. Our son took the first Math portion of the SAT and scored well enough to give Sandra 'leads' into Algebra II areas he needs help on! Sandra gave our son methodologies for attacking medium to difficult questions on the SAT, particularly ALG II concepts he may have missed or never attempted in school. We still have a number of lessons left till the PSAT and SAT exams. Our son looks forward to the next couple of tutoring sessions to keep increasing his chances of improving his PSAT and SAT scores. So far so great! I would highly recommend Sandra to any High Schooler who needs this kind of help, particularly SAT/PSAT exam prep.
