I needed a tutor for my fourth grader for review in some of the math sections of the FCAT [fractions, percent’s]. After reviewing the options on WyzAnt, I chose Cindy based upon her other posted promising reviews. I emailed Cindy that night and she responded promptly the next day. Cindy was very accommodating of our schedule, as I work and she even set up and reserved a quiet room at our meeting site. She was prepared to tutor and got right to the topic with no time to waste. Cindy utilized real life tools and scenarios like measuring cups and coins to teach my son concepts which helped him to grasp the math quickly; she was prepared with additional work sheets and per my request, worked out of the math prep guide I provided. Cindy was continuously patient yet direct, and distinctively clever with math tricks. Cindy tutored my fourth grader so well in six sessions that he shared with me how he felt so much better about facing the FCAT math. Cindy helped my son to reach a higher level of understanding and in turn helped to boost his self-confidence in math. The investment we made in Cindy is minor compared to how much more confident my son feels about grasping the math steps she taught him.
